ELKINS – The Davis & Elkins College Volleyball team fell to Lake Erie College 3-0 Friday night in Great Midwest action at the McDonnell Center.
The Senators struggled offensively, hitting .018 in the match in route to 25-13, 25-14, 25-14 set losses.
Defensively,
Kelly Smith was all over the back line, recording 17 digs in a team-leading effort. Smith also had the team's only ace of the match and finished with two assists.
Jessa Henry and
Elyse Bonnett shared a team high with nine assists.
Kaitlyn LaCour led the Senators with six kills in the match.
Solei Daniels, who had the highest team attacking percentage of .273, finished with four kills.
Raleighanne Weaver also had four kills.
The Senators will look to bounce back on Saturday with a match against Ursuline College. Davis & Elkins faces the Arrows at 2 p.m. at the McDonnell Center.
