PAINESVILLE, Ohio – The Davis & Elkins College Men's Soccer team rescued a late 1-1 draw at Lake Erie College Thursday afternoon in Great Midwest Athletic Conference play.

Charles Mavronis picked a great time to score his first collegiate goal, picking up the tying goal in the 87th minute.
Mavronis connected on a corner kick from
Niklas Rasch-Hegelund at the back post and head the ball down and back across goal to level the contest at one.
The Senators fell behind in the 31st minute as Ezekiel Ebenezer scored for the hosts on a counter attack to give Lake Erie the lead.
Davis & Elkins would put a couple shots on target in the first half, but were unable to find an equalizer in the remaining 15 minutes of the half.
The Senators would outshoot Lake Erie 3-2 in the two overtime sessions, including a pair of shots on target, but were unable to find a winner.
Everton Carvalho would make five saves in the 110-minute game for the Senators, helping D&E to the tie.
Davis & Elkins will set their sights on Mercyhurst as the Senator take on the Lakers on Sunday in non-conference action. The game is set for a 2 p.m. start in Erie, Pennsylvania.
