NORTH CANTON, Ohio – The Davis & Elkins Women's Soccer team fell to Walsh 5-0 Thursday night in Great Midwest play.
The Senators fell behind early with an 11
th minute goal from Madalyn Canter to open the scoring.
The game remained close through the remainder of the first half, as
Lauren Hill provided four stops to keep it a 1-0 game after 45 minutes.
The hosts would pull away in the second half with a three-goal spirt in a 7-minute span.
Tarah McCausland doubled Walsh's lead in the 60
th minute and Brianna Sanborn added to the lead in the 62
nd minute. Brooke Bowser then scored in the 66
th minute.
Walsh capped off the scoring in the 89
th minute with a goal from Alexis Meffert.
The Senators were outshot 20-4 in the match.
Hill finished the game with six saves.
Davis & Elkins will return to action on Saturday with a Great Midwest game against Malone. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. in Canton, Ohio.
