VIENNA, W.Va. - The Davis & Elkins College Women's Soccer team fell to Ohio Valley University 2-0 Thursday afternoon on the road in Great Midwest play.
The Senators fell behind early in the first half, as the hosts took the lead on a goal off of a corner kick. Jennifer Medina connected on a ball in from Paula Valbuena for the goal.
Ohio Valley limited the Senators opportunities in the game, holding Davis & Elkins two shots.
Lauren Hill was called into action several times, finishing the contest with 12 saves. Hill had four saves in the first half and eight saves in the second half.
Ohio Valley would double their lead in the second half off of another set play. Valbuena sent in a free kick from about 25 yards out to score the final goal of the game.
The Senators will now have a week off before returning to action next Thursday, taking on Walsh. The game will be in North Canton, Ohio and will kick off is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
