FINDLAY, Ohio – The Davis & Elkins College Baseball team dropped its Great Midwest Athletic Conference doubleheader to the University of Findlay on Monday, falling 12-3 and 5-1 at Fifth Third Field.
 
In game one, the Senators took an early lead with Travis Danielson's RBI single up the middle to that scored Maxx Mahon.
 
The Senators held the lead into the third inning when Findlay took the lead with an RBI double and a pair of runs scored on passed balls.
 
Davis & Elkins answered back with a run in the fourth as Robbie McKinney hit a triple down the left field line to score Danielson.
 
Findlay would respond with a pair of runs in the fifth on a bases loaded walk and a sacrifice fly to go up 5-2.
 
The Senators would score one more run with James Turnbull's RBI single to score Chase DeGrood in the sixth.
 
The hosts would blow open the game in the seventh inning, piling on seven runs to pull ahead 12-3 and cap off the scoring for the contest.
 
Owen Arbogast picked up the loss, tossing four innings. Arbogast allowed two earned runs, five overall, on six hits and five walks. He also had three strikeouts.
 
McKinney was the only Senator with multiple hits in the game, finishing with his RBI triple and a single.
 
In game two, the Senators fell behind early, as Findlay scored two runs in the bottom of the first. The hosts would go on to add two more runs in the fourth inning before the Senators picked up their only run of the contest.
 
Johnny Liu would hit an RBI groundout to the right side in the fifth inning, scoring DeGrood.
 
Cody Luker tossed 3.1 innings in the loss, allowing four runs on nine hits. Austin Main tossed the final eight outs, allowing one unearned run on one hit and two walks. Main finished with three strikeouts.
 
The Senators will have a day off before returning to action on Wednesday. Davis & Elkins will face Glenville State on the road with first pitch set for 4 p.m.
