FAIRMONT, W.Va. – The Davis & Elkins College Women's Basketball team fell to Fairmont State 69-58 on the road Monday night in non-conference play.
The Senators were in a back-and-forth battle with the hosts until late in the third quarter when Fairmont used a 13-2 run over the final 3:51 with the first of three-consecutive three pointers.
Kali Wilburn and
Colleena Burdock led the Senators with 13 points each. Burdock finished with three assists and three steals, both team highs. Wilburn had four rebounds and a steal.
Courtney Roth joined them in double figures with 11 points and had five rebounds.
Sydney Nestor led the Senators with seven rebounds in the game. Nestor also had eight points.
Nicole Armstrong finished with six rebounds and seven points.
The Senators will return to action on Wednesday with a trip to Athens to face Concord. Tip off is set for 2 p.m. Wednesday afternoon against the Mountain Lions.
