Kelly Smith surpassed a major milestone, as she recorded her 1,000-career dig.
Smith finished the night with 15 dogs, moving her above the milestone mark to 1,004 digs during her three-year career. Smith is currently averaging 3.22 digs per set with the Senators.
The Senators were unable to match the hosts in the game, falling by scores of 25-15, 25-14, 25-9. The Senators were held to a -.026 attacking percentage in the match, with 23 kills and 26 attacking errors.
Kaitlyn LaCour led the Senators with eight kills and was one of just two Senators with multiple kills to hit at an attacking percentage above 0, as she finished hitting .121.
Solei Daniels, who had six kills, hit .080.
Statistically, the night went to Smith and LaCour. Smith led the Senators with her 15 digs. She also had one of two aces for the Senators. LaCour had the other ace and also led in blocking, with one solo block and two assisted blocks.
Elyse Bonnett finished with 14 assists in the game.
Jessa Henry had six and Smith finished with two.
Davis & Elkins will look to rebound tomorrow, as the Senators face Ohio Valley in Vienna. First serve is set for noon against the Fighting Scots.
