ELKINS, W.
Va. - The Davis & Elkins College Women's Soccer team fell to Ohio Dominican University in Great Midwest play on D&E's homecoming day Saturday afternoon on Nuttall Field.
Â
The visitors took the lead five minutes into the game on a corner kick from the left side.
Â
Ohio Dominican kept getting shots off, testing D&E´s keeper
Lauren Hill, who made two massive saves to keep the Senators in the game before halftime.
Â
Eight minutes into the second half, Becca Gordon found enough space on the left side, dribbled into the box and shot on the right bottom corner to increase the advantage for the visitors.
Â
Just four minutes later, Gordon would score her second of the day, the third for ODU with a shot on the right upper corner.
Â
The Senators struggled in the attack, getting only a couple of shots on target but not enough to beat Ohio Dominican's goalie.
Â
Lauren Hill was still tested a couple of times more throughout the match, making two other huge saves on breakaways. The senior finished the match with a total of six saves.
Â
The Davis & Elkins College Women's Soccer team will be back to action this Saturday against Alderson Broaddus in Philippi. Kickoff is set for 5:00 p.m.
