Pablo Salvador Lopez scored a goal and dished out two assists as the Davis & Elkins College men's soccer team continued its impressive start to the season with a 5-0 victory over Malone in Great Midwest Athletic Conference play Saturday night at Nuttall Field.
In the last two games, the Senators have outscored their opponents 9-0, having come into the game off of a 4-0 defeat of Walsh on Wednesday.
The Senators, who improved to 3-1-1 overall and 2-0-1 in league play, held a 2-0 lead at the half and never looked back.
Tim Staerz added a goal and an assists for D&E, while
Mads Kaiser,
Simon Hestad and
Rafa Moreno chipped in with one score each.
Keeper Hedi Mehnauoi had two saves in net for Davis Elkins, who held an impressive 24-6 advantage in shots on goal. The Senators also managed a 7-1 edge in corner kicks for the contest.
Davis & Elkins will return to action Tuesday when it travels to Ohio Dominican for another conference clash.
