PAINESVILLE, Ohio – The Davis & Elkins College Volleyball team fell in its Great Midwest Athletic Conference opener on Thursday to Lake Erie 3-0.
 
The Senators fell in straight sets by scores of 25-10, 25-7 and 25-12. Davis & Elkins struggled offensively, hitting 25 errors on the night.
 
Sasha Johnson and 
Anna Gallup led the way offensively for the Senators with three kills each of the 13 total for D&E.
 
Raleighanne Weaver had two solo blocks for the Senators, while 
Lillie Mueller led the Senators with six digs. 
Zoe Craig and 
Kaitlyn LaCour had four digs each. Craig also had seven assists.
 
The Senators will look to rebound on Friday with a trip to Pepper Pike to take on Ursuline. The match is set for 7 p.m.
