ELKINS – The Davis & Elkins College Baseball team picked up a 4-0 victory in its home opener over Glenville State College on Wednesday.
 
The Senators took the lead in the first inning with a Robbie McKinney single to score Johnny Liu and put the hosts up 1-0.
 
Bragg Eastin extended the Senators lead a few batters later with a single to second, scoring McKinney.
 
Hunter Thomas batted home Liu in the third to give the Senators a 3-0 lead and Eastin capped off the scoring with a monster homerun in the third to put D&E up 4-0.
 
Defensively, the Senators used nine different pitchers in the contest.
 
Arman Lakhani tossed the first inning, recording two strikeouts.
 
Tyler Mason and Tyler Honeycutt also picked up a pair of strikeouts in their innings.
 
The Senators will return to action on Friday with the first two games of a G-MAC series against Ohio Valley.
