PHILIPPI, W.Va. – The Davis & Elkins College Baseball team fell to Alderson Broaddus in a doubleheader on Saturday to close out the weekend series.
The Senators were shutout in game one 7-0 and fell in game two 5-2.
In the opener, Alderson Broaddus would score in the third inning and then added two more in the fourth to open a 3-0 lead.
The Senators were unable to get anything going offensively, limited to four hits, and AB answered with four more runs in the fifth to wrap the scoring.
Derek Sicca allowed all seven runs in the loss, tossing four innings.
Bragg Eastin had a hit and two walks, to lead the Senators offensively.

Steven White had the other hits for D&E.
In game two, the Senators fell behind in the fifth inning when the hosts scored three runs to go ahead.
Ryan Ray scored in the eighth inning on a fielder's choice ball in play by
Tanner Ray to cut the lead to 3-1.
Alderson Broaddus added to the lead in the eighth with two more runs.
Davis & Elkins would add a run in the ninth with Sicca's RBI single to left that score
Michael Wood.
However, the Senators would strand the bases loaded to end the game.
Brent McMillion was dealt the loss, allowing five runs in 7.1 innings, while striking out five.
The Senators will return to action on Wednesday as Davis & Elkins hosts Glenville State. The game is set for a 3 p.m. start at Harpertown Field.
