PHILIPPI, W.Va. – Volleyball fell to rival Alderson Broaddus 3-1 Tuesday night.
In the first set, D&E traded leads with AB and had several chances to win the game, but were unable to hold onto the lead. The Senators ultimately fell 28-26.
In the second set, the Senators fell behind early and were unable to mount a comeback, losing 25-19.
In the third set, both teams traded leads until the Senators pulled away and won the set 25-21.
In the fourth set, Senators kept the game close but ultimately lost 26-24.
Sasha Johnson matched her season high in kills with 13, followed by LaCour with 11, and
Lillie Mueller with nine.
Zoe Craig, LaCour, and Johnson each had one ace.
Raleighanne Weaver led the team in blocks with six, followed by LaCour and Johnson with four each.
Craig had 25 assists, followed by
Elyse Bonnett with 10, and
Kelly Smith with three.
LaCour set a career high in digs with 23.
Kelly Smith tied her career high in digs with 22,
Lillie Mueller with 12 digs in the contest.
D&E had a statistical advantage in kills, blocks, digs, and points, but fell short of a victory.
The Senators return to action Friday to take on Ohio Valley at 7 p.m.
