PEPPER PIKE, Ohio – The Davis & Elkins College Women's Basketball team fell for the second straight night at the Crossover Classic, dropping its second game of the season 107-70 to Ferris State.
 
The Senators fell behind early as Ferris State jumped out to a 41-15 lead after 10 minutes, capitalizing on several turnovers from the Senators.
 
D&E pulled back a little in the second quarter, but a big run by Ferris State to start the second half sealed the defeat for the Senators.
 
Colleena Burdock led the way in scoring for the Senators, finishing with 17 points off the bench. Burdock was 10-for-11 from the free-throw line in the game. The freshman also had six assists to lead the team and two steals.
 
Sydney Turner and Kali Wilburn also finished in double digits, scoring 11 points each in the contest. Wilburn led the team with five rebounds, while Turner also had two steals and three rebounds.
 
The Senators will return to action on Tuesday with their home opener. D&E will face Penn State-Beaver at 5:30 p.m. in the McDonnell Center.
