ELKINS - D&E fell to conference opponent Lake Erie in Four Sets.
In the first set, D&E fell behind early but tied the game at 16-16, and took the lead at 23-21. However, they were unable to hold onto the lead at the lost the set 26-24.
In the second set, Lake Erie had an early lead and held on to win the set 25-15.
In the third set, the Senators kept it close with the Storm but went on a 6-2 run to win the set 25-23.
In the fourth set, D&E fell to an early deficit but was unable to overcome it, ultimately losing 25-16.
Kaitlyn LaCour led the team in kills with ten, followed by
Sasha Johnson and
Anna Gallup, who each had eight.
Johnson led the team with two aces, followed by
Lillie Mueller and
Briana Hoffmann, who both had an ace.
Johnson had nine blocks, followed by Gallup with five, which was a season high for her.
Raleighanne Weaver had four blocks.
Karlie Richardson led the Senators in assists with 20, followed by Hoffmann with 14, and
Kelly Smith with three.
Smith had a season high of twenty digs, followed by Mueller with ten, and Richardson with nine.
The Senators had more blocks (14) than the Storm (9).
D&E returns to action on Saturday at 2 p.m. against conference opponent Ursuline.
