NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Davis & Elkins College Senators picked up their fourth straight win in G-MAC play with a 2–0 victory over Trevecca Nazarene on Saturday night.
Pablo Salvador Lopez opened up the scoring for the Senators in the first half, finding the breakthrough in the 28th minute to give the guests the lead.
Issa Mouafo picked up an assist on the play.
The Senators maintained the 1–0 advantage through the remainder of the first half.
It didn't take long for Davis & Elkins to add to their lead in the second half, with the second goal coming in the 50th minute.
Mads Kaiser took a pass from
Niklas Rasch-Hegelund and then finished it passed Tyler Delgado for the second and final goal of the game.
Hedi Mehnaoui picked up his second straight clean sheet with the shutout victory. He needed to make three saves in the winning effort.
Saturday's win is also the third clean sheet for the Senators in the last four games.
D&E remains unbeaten in G-MAC play with its fourth straight victory following the 2-2 draw with Malone to open up the conference campaign.
The Senators will take a break from conference action, as they host California University of Pennsylvania on Tuesday night at Nuttall Field. Kick off is set for 7:30 p.m.
