ELKINS - The Davis & Elkins College Volleyball team came away with a 3-1 win over Ursuline on Friday night to, defeating their Great Midwest Athletic Conference Black Division rival to clinch the Division championship and earn a bye at next week's G-MAC Volleyball Tournament.
In the first set the Senators (14-17, 6-3 G-MAC) won with a commanding lead against Ursuline (16-13, 4-5 G-MAC), winning the set 25-12.
In the second set the visitors bounced back, winning in a close set 25-21. This would be the only set that the Senators would lose in the match.
In the third set, the Senators went on to win 25-19, taking a 2-1 lead. The Senators sealed up the victory in the fourth set with another commanding game, winning the set 25-16.
The Senators finished the match with 15 blocks, while giving up just five blocks by Ursuline.
Devin Saucy,
Elizabeth Estes, and
Sasha Johnson all shared the lead in kills for the Senators with 12 apiece.
Zoe Craig finished the match with 42 assist, while both
Michaela Touchet and
Devin Saucy each had five.
Saucy also led the team in digs with 19, while Touchet chipped in with 16.

With the win, the Senators secure the division, taking a 2-game lead into the final game of the regular season. The Senators will return to action tomorrow, hosting Malone at 1:00 pm.
