ELKINS – The Davis & Elkins College Women's Soccer team fell to Kentucky Wesleyan 1-2 on Saturday at Nuttall Field in Great Midwest Athletic Conference play.
The Senators fell behind early in the contest as Kamryn Pulliam scored on an assist from Kaley Burnette just 14 minutes in.
D&E dominated the half with nine shots to Kentucky Wesleyan's four, but missed several chances to tie the game up.
The trends continued in the second half, as D&E outshot KWC 13-14.
Katrina Giantsopoulos leveled things up 63 minutes in when she took a long through ball from
Kaitlyn Buoni and slotted it past Taylor Rentchler for the goal.
However, just three minutes later, Madison Haycraft scored of a corner from Erick Hinchcliffe to put the visitors back up by one.
The Senators will return to action on Thursday, as they play Malone at Nuttall Field in another G-MAC battle. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.
