Tyler Rubasky begins his second season as an assistant baseball coach at Davis & Elkins in 2021-22.
Rubasky wrapped up his first season assisting the program in 2021, helping guide the program to its highest single-season win total since 2018, while playing a conference-only schedule. Rubasky was part of an exciting 4-3 home triumph against Frostburg State on March 21, 2021. The Senators also knocked off 19th-ranked Charleston (W.Va.) at Harpertown Field to conclude a four-game set in April 2021.
D&E had a strong year in the classroom, placing 14 players on the MEC All-Academic Teams for 2021 with a GPA of 3.25 or higher.
A former assistant with head coach Tim Miller at NCAA DIII Franklin (Ind.), Rubasky completed his collegiate playing career as a catcher at Waynesburg.
Rubasky, who lives in Elkins, also works with the maintenance department on campus.
