Mike Dailey

Mike Dailey was named Assistant Baseball Coach in September 2019, and brings over 30 years of experience as a player and coach at the professional and collegiate levels. 

While serving as the Director of Baseball Operations at NCAA Division I institution Radford University, two players were selected in the Major League Baseball draft (Spencer Horwitz (2019-24th round-Toronto Blue Jays) and Austin Ross (2018-35th round-Philadelphia Phillies).  Dailey also currently serves as the manager of the North Adams SteepleCats of the prestigious New England Collegiate Baseball League where he coaches several of the nation’s top collegiate players. The league is ranked second in the nation only to the Cape Cod League. During his time at North Adams, Dailey has seen two players drafted by MLB (Joe Vranesh (2019-15th round-Los Angeles Dodgers) and Danny Serreino (2019-32nd round-Cincinnati Reds).

Dailey was also selected to manage the 2019 All Star Game of the New England Collegiate Baseball League.  He has also managed the New River Valley Cardinals of the Blue Ridge Baseball League to seven league championships in eight years.
 

Dailey played at Lake Land College before finishing his career at Illinois. After signing with the St. Louis Cardinals as an undrafted free agent, he returned to the Cardinals organization and was a backfield instructor during their World Series championship year in 2006.
