ELKINS, W.Va. – The Davis & Elkins College baseball team has been recognized as one of the 2024-25 ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award recipients, as announced by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) on Tuesday.

Presented by Sports Attack, the ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award honors high school and collegiate programs that achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher during the 2024-25 academic year. The Senators were among nearly 750 teams across the country, including more than 440 college programs, to earn this distinction for their dedication in the classroom.

The Senators finished the academic year with a team GPA of 3.27, well above the award's qualification threshold. This accomplishment highlights the program's commitment to academic excellence and the success of its student-athletes both on and off the field.

To be eligible for the award, teams must meet several academic and membership criteria, including maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better and being led by a current ABCA member coach.
