ELKINS, W.Va. – Davis & Elkins College Director of Athletics Jennifer Riggleman has announced the appointment of Shane Levenson as the new head coach of the Senators men's and women's golf programs. Levenson brings over 25 years of coaching experience and a strong background in athlete development, leadership, and collegiate athletics.
"We are really excited to have Shane Levenson at the helm of our golf programs," Riggleman said. "He is going to be an asset to us for his student-athletes and the rest of the athletic department. The background and expertise that he has will provide great player development and focus for the future for the men's and women's golf programs at D&E."
Levenson arrives in Elkins after serving as the assistant men's and women's golf coach at NCAA Division I Chicago State University. During his time with the Cougars, he helped lead the men's team to the 2025 Delaware Shootout title and coached multiple individual medalists, including champions at the Alabama State Puerto Rico Invitational and the TSU Starks Invitational. He also played a key role in day-to-day program operations, recruiting, and NCAA compliance.
Before his time at Chicago State, Levenson served as the assistant coach at Johnson & Wales University in Charlotte, where he helped guide the men's team to the 2022 USCAA National Championship and supported back-to-back women's medalists in 2022 and 2023.
A PGA of America Associate and certified athletic trainer, Levenson's background includes over a decade as Head Performance Specialist with Naval Special Warfare, where he led performance nutrition guidance, injury prevention, and recovery programming for elite tactical athletes. He also held strength and conditioning leadership roles at Cleveland State and Nova Southeastern, working with a broad range of NCAA Division I and II student-athletes.

A former collegiate baseball player at Wingate University, Levenson earned his bachelor's degree in sports medicine and athletic training before completing a master's degree in sports medicine and sports management at Nova Southeastern University. He is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and maintains multiple national certifications.
