ELKINS, W.Va. – Freshman Aidan Talent has been named a PING Honorable Mention All-American by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA), adding to a remarkable list of honors following a standout debut season with the Senators men's golf program.
Talent was also named to the PING Atlantic All-Region Team after an impressive freshman campaign highlighted by multiple individual victories. He tied for medalist honors at the NCAA Division II Atlantic/East Regional Preview hosted by Gannon University at Whispering Woods Golf Club, firing a final-round 68 (-4) to finish the tournament at 3-under par and secure the individual championship. His performance led the Senators to a runner-up team finish at the event.
Throughout the season, Talent was a driving force behind Davis & Elkins' success. He was recognized as the Mountain East Conference (MEC) Freshman of the Year, earned MEC Tournament Most Valuable Player honors, and was selected to the All-MEC First Team. Talent helped guide the Senators to the NCAA Division II Atlantic/East Regional Championship title and an appearance at the NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championships in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida — a milestone season for the program.
Talent was one of 27 golfers nationwide named PING Honorable Mention All-American by the GCAA, joining an elite group of the top NCAA Division II golfers this season.
