FROSTBURG, Md. — The Davis & Elkins men's lacrosse team dropped a road matchup at Frostburg State on Tuesday night, falling 24-3 at Bobcat Field.
Frostburg State (6-5) came out firing with 10 goals in the opening quarter and built a 16-1 halftime lead. The Bobcats outshot the Senators 64-17 and won 25 of 31 faceoffs to control possession throughout the contest.
Chuck Kretchman led Davis & Elkins (1-11) with two goals, while JayC Morlog added one goal on the man advantage. Brothers Tanner Delorme and Jordan Delorme each tallied an assist for the Senators.
The Senators split time in goal between Jacob Wilson and Avery Linthicum. Wilson made seven saves in the first half, while Linthicum stopped seven shots over the final 30 minutes.
Davis & Elkins was 1-for-4 on extra-man opportunities and cleared 19 of 27 attempts. Defensively, the Senators caused 10 turnovers but committed 29 of their own.
