GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The Davis & Elkins College men's lacrosse team fell to Davenport, 26-4, in a Mountain East Conference contest on Saturday afternoon at DU Turf Field.
All four goals for the Senators came in the second half. Junior Chuck Kretchman paced D&E offensively with two goals and one assist, including a shorthanded goal in the fourth quarter. Junior Charlie Taylor added a goal in the third quarter off an assist from Jordan Delorme, and Xzavier Jankowiak netted his first goal of the afternoon minutes later, assisted by Kretchman.
Avery Linthicum made 22 saves in goal for the Senators, facing 69 total shots. Defensively, Collin Flannery picked up a team-high seven ground balls, while Kretchman and Devon Garcia each contributed a caused turnover.
