INDIANAPOLIS – The nationally ranked No. 7 University of Indianapolis women's lacrosse team proved too strong for Davis & Elkins, handing the Senators a 21-0 defeat Friday evening at Key Stadium.
UIndy (4-1) set the tone early with an 11-goal first quarter and never looked back, limiting D&E (0-4) to just three shots on goal. The Greyhounds displayed their offensive depth, with nine different players finding the back of the net.
The Greyhounds dominated possession, winning 16 draw controls to the Senators' eight and forcing 19 turnovers.
Davis & Elkins goalkeeper Megan Bauer made four saves in the first half before Daelyn Hardnack took over in the second half, stopping two shots. Sierra Walesheck led the Senators with four ground ball recoveries.
