BELMONT, N.C. – Davis & Elkins College fell to Belmont Abbey 6-1 in a non-conference men's tennis matchup on Friday morning at Reidy Tennis Center to conclude their spring break trip.
Doubles Matches
Belmont Abbey took an early advantage by claiming two of the three doubles matches to secure the doubles point. The lone victory for the Senators came from Viktor Yanev and C. Wirahadipoernomo, who outlasted Isaac Buerkle and Samuel McGregor in a hard-fought 7-6 (3) win at No. 3 doubles.
Singles Matches
Belmont Abbey continued its strong play in singles, securing five of the six matchups. The lone victory for Davis & Elkins came from Philipp Fedorczuk, who dominated Tim Stemler in straight sets, 6-1, 6-1, at No. 2 singles.
