ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – The Davis & Elkins College women's lacrosse team fell to Lewis University, 18-2, on Tuesday evening at Lewis Stadium.

The Senators (0-3) got on the scoreboard late in the first quarter with a power-play goal from junior Josephine Whorton at the 2:51 mark. Junior Irelynd Manning set up junior Hannah Lennon for a fourth-quarter goal, marking the only other tally for Davis & Elkins.

Lewis (3-2) set the tone early, netting seven goals in the first quarter before adding four more in the second to take an 11-1 lead at halftime. 

The Senators struggled to generate offensive opportunities, registering 11 total shots, including six on goal. Lennon and Whorton accounted for Davis & Elkins' two goals, while Manning added an assist.

Defensively, junior goalie Megan Bauer recorded nine saves in 45 minutes of play before freshman Daelyn Hardnack stepped in for the final quarter, adding one save.
