PAINESVILLE, Ohio – The Davis & Elkins men's lacrosse team struggled on the road Saturday (Mar. 15), falling to Lake Erie 20-3 in a Great Midwest Athletic Conference contest at Jack Britt Memorial Stadium.
The Storm (2-4, 2-1 G-MAC) controlled the pace early, outscoring the Senators (1-7, 0-1 GMAC) 6-1 in the first quarter and never looking back. Lake Erie outshot Davis & Elkins 56-13 and won the ground ball battle 35-17.
JayC Morlog put the Senators on the board late in the first quarter, scoring with 47 seconds remaining. The visitors were held scoreless for the next two periods before tallying twice in the fourth. Tanner Delorme and Charlie Taylor each found the back of the net, both assisted by Jordan Delorme.
D&E goaltender Jacob Wilson made 14 saves in the loss.
