Women's Lacrosse Dominates District of Columbia in 25-7 Victory

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Davis & Elkins College women's lacrosse team surged to a dominant 25-7 victory over the University of the District of Columbia on Friday evening at UDC.

Morgan Rogers led the Senators (2-5) with five goals, including a shorthanded tally in the second quarter, while Ke'ya Stevens contributed four goals and three assists. Davis & Elkins set the tone early, jumping out to a 7-0 lead in the first quarter and never looking back.

The Senators held a 50-23 advantage in shots and forced 21 turnovers from the Firebirds (0-4). Davis & Elkins also dominated the draw controls, winning 22 to UDC's 14.

Hannah Lennon and Rylee Anderson each recorded two goals and an assist, while Stevens and Anderson also tallied multiple draw controls to maintain possession throughout the contest.

Defensively, Megan Bauer and Daelyn Hardnack combined for 12 saves in goal for the Senators. Bauer played the majority of the game, stopping 11 shots, while Hardnack made one save in relief.

The Firebirds struggled to contain D&E's offensive onslaught, particularly in the fourth quarter when the Senators scored nine goals.
