South Euclid, Ohio -- The Senators traveled to Notre Dame College and were able to pick up a split on the road.
Linzey Allard led the Senators offense on the day going 3 for 6 with a double, homerun, 3 runs scored and 2 RBI.
Game 1 vs Notre Dame 9-6 Loss
The first game of the doubleheader was a marathon that took nearly three hours to complete. Notre Dame would gain the advantage early scoring five runs in the second inning and adding another run in the third inning to take a 6-0 lead. The Senators would get on the board in the fourth inning when
Trinity Fleming would single in a run.
The Falcons would add another run in the fourth inning to extend their lead to 7-1. The Senators would add another run in the fifth inning when
Ashlyn Zapach picked up an RBI single.
The Falcon would respond by scoring two more runs in the their half of the fifth inning to take a 9-2 lead into the sixth inning. The Senators would mount a comeback in the top of the sixth inning by scoring four runs.
Linzey Allard started the scoring with a homerun.
Sharon Morales added a RBI single and
Lilly Saucedo drove in two runs with a single. The Senators were able to bring the tying run to the plate in the top of the seventh but couldn't complete the comeback.
Allard was 2 for 3 with a double, homerun, 2 runs scored and a RBI.
Trinity Fleming was 2 for 3 with a run scored and a RBI.
Game 2 vs Notre Dame 5-0 Win
Game two was a pitcher's dual through five innings as the teams only combined for three hits in that span. The Senators scored the first run of the game in the fourth inning when
Lilly Saucedo singled in a run.
The Senators offense put the game away in the sixth inning by scoring 4 runs thanks to 5 hits and an error.
Lilly Saucedo added another RBI single,
Linzey Allard had an RBI single and an error by the Falcons allowed the last two runs to score.
Sammie Jarvis was dominant in the circle for the Senators throwing a complete game only allowing one hit while striking out 15 batters.
Sharon Morales was 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored and a stolen base.
Saucedo was 2 for 4 with a run scored and 2 RBI.
