Elkins, W.Va. -- Davis & Elkins held an early lead against a very good West Virginia State team but it wasn't enough as the Yellow Jackets pulled away for a 78-48 win. Jaela Reid was the only Senator to score in double figures with 11 points and also pulled down 5 rebounds.

The Senators started the game hot from the floor going 9-16 (56.25%) from the floor in the first quarter to gain a 18-14 lead after one quarter. However, the Yellow Jackets would crank up the defense in the second quarter limiting the Senators to 2-13 (15.38%) shooting for the quarter while going on a 15-0 run early in the quarter to lead 38-24 at halftime and wouldn't look back the rest of the game.

Taylor Smith just missed a double-double scoring 9 points and pulling down 10 rebounds.
