INSTITUTE, W.Va. -- Davis & Elkins College men's basketball team narrowly fell to Livingstone College, 63-60, in a hard-fought neutral-site matchup on Saturday afternoon at the Walker Convocation Center on the campus of West Virginia State University.
Senior Sam Rolle IV led the Senators with 23 points, including two three-pointers and nine free throws on 12 attempts. Senior Charleston Ponds contributed a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds, showcasing his effort on both ends. Sophomore Dontrell Jenkins also added eight points, knocking down two three-pointers and making three steals.
Despite a solid first-half performance that saw the Senators up 33-27, Livingstone rallied in the second half to outscore D&E, securing the win in the final minutes.
