Davis & Elkins College volleyball team fell in straight sets to the University of Charleston (12-5, 2-2 MEC) in a Mountain East Conference volleyball match on Tuesday night, with scores of 25-13, 25-16, and 25-8. Despite the loss, Reanne Debose led the Senators' offense with 10 kills, while
Gracjana Rozanska added six kills and recorded two blocks. Setter
Haylie Marumoto contributed 19 assists and three digs, trying to generate momentum for D&E throughout the match.
On defense, Clara Caralt was active with 11 digs, and Rozanska chipped in with four digs of her own. However, Davis & Elkins struggled to counter Charleston's dominant attack, managing a .095 hitting percentage on the night.
The loss drops the Senators to 4-8 overall and 1-4 in the MEC as they look to bounce back in their next match.
