Buckhannon, W.Va. -- Davis & Elkins snapped a 4-game losing streak behind a strong second half performance to defeat West Virginia Wesleyan 79-58.
Sam Rolle IV lead the way for the Senators with 19 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists.
The Bobcats would jump out to a quick 5-0 lead as the Senators struggled to make shots early in the contest.
Vadim Clanet would get the offensive rolling by scoring the first 8 points for the Senators to cut the Bobcats lead to one going into the first media timeout. Davis & Elkins would take the lead shortly after the media timeout and keep the lead until the Bobcats tied the score at 26 with 4:00 to go in the half. However, that would be the last time game was close as Rolle IV would take over the rest of the half scoring 8 of the Senators final 10 points to take a 36-28 lead into halftime.
The second half would see the Senators shoot the ball well from the floor going 15-26 (57.69%) and build a lead that grew to as many as 31 points with 7:23 remaining in the game.Â
The Senators dominated the glass as they outrebounded the Bobcats by a 44-21 advantage.Â
Nicolas Silva would provide another balanced game with 12 points and 8 rebounds.
Clanet would end the game with 10 points and 6 rebounds.
