Athens, W.Va. -- Davis & Elkins fell on the road to Concord 81-62 despite having five players score in double-figures.
Taylor Smith led the way offensively with 13 points on 4-9 shooting, including 3-5 from the three-point line.
The Mountain Lions used a strong effort on the glass pulling down 23 offensive rebounds and shot 32 free throws compared to only 13 for the Senators to pull away throughout the game. The Senators shot the ball well as a team going 24-54 (44.4%) from the field including 8-17 (47.1%) from the three-point line.
Joining Smith in double-figures were
Alexis Smith (12 points),
Jaela Reid (12 points),
Zenevieve Coronado-Casebolt (12 points) and
Madison Butler (11 points).
Butler also pulled down 7 rebounds and added 4 steals for the Senators.
