ELKINS, W.Va. -- Davis & Elkins played host to the Mountain East Conference's second-placed West Virginia Wesleyan Saturday afternoon and dealt the Bobcats a 2-0 setback and their first conference loss.

The two teams played on a rain-soaked Nuttall Field in a mainly defensive battle until Mattia Bui scored an unassisted goal in the thirty-fourth minute that found the lower right corner of the net.

D&E carried a 1-0 lead into the second half and Dominique Castano scored a quick goal to put the Senators up 2-0.

D&E outshot the Bobcats 7-4 and put 5 shots on goal to Wesleyan's 1.

The Senators move to 2-2-1 overall and 2-2-1 in the MEC, while Wesleyan drops to 5-2-1 and 3-1-1.
