ELKINS, W.Va. – Vadim Clanet had the hot hand as he led Davis & Elkins to a big rebound win Wednesday night over Notre Dame College, 102-79.
Clanet scored 22 points on 8 of 11 from the field, including 6 of 8 from beyond the three-point arc.
Sam Rolle IV also had a big game for D&E with 18 points, 8 assists, and 5 rebounds.
Charleston Ponds added 13 points and 3 rebounds.
Tristan Starks and
Nicolas Silva each scored 10 points apiece. Starks added 8 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal. Silva added 4 rebounds.
Ben Gilliam chipped in 9 points and 3 rebounds.
Malachi Hampton added 6 points and 3 rebounds.
Clarens Pierre and
Dontrell Jenkins each had 4 points. Pierre added 9 rebounds and 4 blocks.
Rashaun Parker and
Nnadozie Okoroji each had 3 points.
The Senators move to 6-3 overall and 4-1 in the Mountain East Conference. Their overall record matches that of last year's historic season through nine games. They were 2-3 in the MEC at this point last season, however.
