SALEM, W.Va. -- Davis & Elkins took a tied game into the second half of its men's basketball game with Salem Saturday afternoon and ran out to a 13-point lead in the second half en route to a 74-61 victory on the road.
The Senators, winners of their last two-in-a-row and three of their last four, were led by
Sam Rolle IV, who scored 23 points in the contest. Rolle scored 17 of his game-high 23 points in the first half to help D&E to a 36-36 tie at the half. Rolle added 7 assists, 4 rebounds, and a steal and was 8 of 15 from the field, including 4 of 6 from beyond the three-point arc.
Nicolas Silva scored 14 for D&E in 15 minutes of action. He added 4 rebounds, and one assist.
Vadim Clanet added 11 points, 3 rebounds, and a steal.
Tristan Starks scored 10 as he was 2 of 3 from three-point range. He also added a team-high 7 rebounds and a steal.
Clarens Pierre added 6 points, 5 rebounds, a block, and a steal.
Malachi Hampton chipped in 5 points, 3 rebounds, and a steal.
Rashaun Parker had 3 points and
Charleston Ponds had 2 points and 4 rebounds.

The Senators play host to Slippery Rock on Thursday, December 14 at 6pm prior to the holiday break. Following the break, D&E will head to Slippery Rock for a 6pm tip at Morrow Field House on Monday, January 8.
