SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio -- Davis & Elkins, the Mountain East Conference's #3 seed again went to overtime in the semifinal round of the MEC Men's Soccer Championship Wednesday afternoon and came away with a 3-2 road win over the tournament's #2 seed Notre Dame College.
The two teams put three quick goals on the board in the first period and the match looked to be an offensive shootout.
Moudou Faye scored the games first goal a mere 1:13 into the contest. 
Shemar Daley supplied the assist.
Notre Dame evened the score in the sixth minute when Ailton Fagner Silva scored off a Carlos Almeida assist.
In the seventeenth minute, the Falcons struck again as Almeida scored off a Fagner Silva assist. Notre Dame carried the 2-1 lead into halftime.
D&E's Faye scored the second half's lone goal unassisted nine minutes in. It was Faye's fourth goal of the season.
The Senators had a scare in the closing moments of regulation when Fagner Silva was awarded a free kick. The kick skipped low past D&E's wall of defenders and goalkeeper 
Grant Wyles made a diving stop to close out the half. The teams headed to overtime knotted at 2-2.
Johan Magana gave D&E the go-ahead goal in the game's ninety-fourth minute. 
Franco Casullo supplied the assist.
The two ten-minute overtime periods closed with the Senators ahead 3-2 to advance the MEC Championship Game.
In total, both teams shot 15 times. D&E outpaced Notre Dame in shots on goal, 7-5.
Wyles had 3 stops in the net.

D&E awaits the winner of the day's other MEC matchup: #1 Charleston vs. #4 Concord. The Championship Game will be played Sunday, November 12 at a time to be announced. A Charleston win would mean a trip to play the Golden Eagles on their field. The Senators would host if Concord wins the Semifinal.
