ELKINS, W.Va. – The Davis & Elkins College baseball team dropped a pair of Mountain East Conference games to Glenville State Tuesday afternoon at Harpertown Field. D&E's comeback fell short in game one and the Pioneers escaped with a 3-2 win. In game two GSU would pull away for a 7-1 victory.
Game One
Mason Brenneman went 1-4 with a home run and two RBI.
Luis Diaz,
Fletcher Hindman, and
Zachary Higgins each had one hit.
Justin Wisniewski was stellar on the hill for the Senators. Wisniewski pitched six innings, allowing three runs on seven hits. Wisniewski struck out seven and issued just one walk.
Game Two
Austin Beattie was 1-2 with an RBI.
Chase DeGrood,
Cole Hitch, Diaz, and Hindman all had one hit.
D&E falls to 6-22 overall and 3-13 in the MEC.
Glenville State proves to 21-9 and 9-7 in the league.
The Senators travel to Charleston this Friday for a four-game series with the Golden Eagles. The teams will play doubleheaders on Friday and Saturday. Games times are 1:00pm and 3:30pm both days.
