ELKINS, W.Va. -- Davis & Elkins wasted no time lighting up the scoreboard in front of their home crowd Sunday night. The Senators posted two goals within the opening two minutes en route to an 11-0 victory over the visiting Alderson Broaddus Battlers.
Daniel Cerezo scored the first goal only thirty-eight seconds into the game. Haruki Yamazaki provide Cerezo with the assist.
Yamazaki then scored a minute later when Cerezo provided the assist.
Alex Estrada-Avila scored the game's third goal on a penalty kick in the twelfth minute.
In the sixteenth minute, Yamazaki and Cerezo again teamed up as Cerezo assisted Yamazaki on his second goal of the contest.
Christhian Bosquez scored next off a David Jara assist in the thirty-second minute.
Jara again supplied an assist in the thirty-fourth minute. This time he assisted Dominique Castano as Castano scored on a long chip shot over the goalie.
Bosquez scored once again in the first half when goalkeeper Beltran Fernandez provided an assist on a long ball that cleared the defense.
Estrada-Avila scored the final goal of the half off a Castano assist to make the game 8-0 at halftime.
By the midway mark, the Senators had outshot the Battlers 17-4. Thirteen of D&E's shots were on goal compared to one by AB.
The Senators came out in the second half, continuing to substitute in role players, but also continuing to take shots.
O'Keefe Cunningham scored first in the second half as Castano provided his second assist of the game.
Yamazaki scored his third goal of the game and fifth goal of the season in the seventieth minute off an Estrada-Avila assist.
Bosquez scored his third goal of the game and seventh of the season in the seventy-third minute of the game off a Kevin Zapata assist and D&E came our unscathed with an 11-0 win to cap off Homecoming Weekend.
D&E took another 18 shots in the second half. In total, they outshot the Battlers 35-8 and had 23 shots on goal compared to 2 by AB.
On the season, D&E has outscored opponents 45-2 and are 9-0 overall and 8-0 in the Mountain East Conference.
The team travels to Notre Dame College on Wednesday for a noon start.
