ELKINS, W.Va. – The visiting Mountain Lions of Concord University raced out to a 4-0 lead against Davis & Elkins Wednesday evening. The Senators charged back late, scoring three goals of their own late in the game before falling 4-3.

Concord's Jayme Millard scored two goals in the first half to put the Mountain Lions up 2-0 at the half. Her first goal, five minutes into the contest was assisted by Courtney Smith. Her second, in the thirteenth minute, was assisted by Rachel Bell.

In the second half, Bell added a pair of goals of her own. Millard assisted the first five minutes into the half. Seven minutes later, Bell scored unassisted.

In the seventy-second minute, Nao Kawasaki got D&E on the scoreboard with her sixth goal of the season. Seika Ikezoe provided the assist.

Three minutes later, Kawasaki scored again. This time, Alexa Karsel provided the assist.

Madison Rose tallied her sixth goal of the season off a Tamsin Medd-Gill assist in the eighty-fifth minute.

In total, the Senators outshot the Mountain Lions 16-13, but Concord had ten shots on goal to D&E's 7.

Katie Clarke turned away four shots on goal, while D&E was credited with two team saves.

The Senators fall to 6-5-1 overall with the loss and 5-5-1 in the Mountain East Conference.
