ELKINS, W.Va. -- With under two minutes remaining in regulation, Martin Lago found the back of the net for the only goal of the match to give Davis and Elkins a 1-0 victory over Salem University.

The Senators' goalkeeper, Jeremy Coste was relatively untested throughout, seeing only one shot on goal. The senior keeper managed to keep a clean sheet, however in the low scoring affair.

The lone goal of the evening came on a well-placed corner kick by Gianluca Fiorini that Lago was able to head into the upper right corner of the net.

Up next: The Senators were due to play Notre Dame College Sunday, September 5. COVID protocols have canceled this matchup and as such it will be deemed no-contest. The next regularly-scheduled contest is Sunday, September 12 at Nuttall Field against Concord University.
