GREENSBURG, Pa. – Davis & Elkins men's lacrosse suffered a 34-4 road loss at third-ranked Seton Hill to open the 2021 season on Tuesday afternoon.
The high-powered Griffins push their record to 3-0 while Davis & Elkins falls to 0-1.
Tyler Kolodka posted the first marker of the game after
Nolan Morrison worked out of the corner to find his teammate for a 1-0 lead. It was all Seton Hill from there, scoring the rest of the goals in the opening half for a 19-1 cushion at the break.
SHU imposed its will in the faceoff circle, winning 36 of 43, to maintain possession for much of the day.
David Thorne Jr. made nine stops in 30 minutes of action in goal before
Andrew Hempel entered the game in relief.
Kolodka collected three goals for the visiting Senators and Morrison added one of his own. Morrison,
Zach Lontayao and
Robert Stephenson all had assists on Tuesday.
Davis & Elkins returns to action on Saturday, March 13 with a road clash at Wheeling that begins at 7:00 PM.
