Elkins, W.Va. - The men's basketball team dropped a non-conference game Wednesday night to Salem University, 97-74.
Salem took a 2-0 lead at the 19:09 mark in the first half and never gave up the lead. The Tigers extended their lead to 11-points and went to the half up 46-35. Salem's, Fonz Hale led all scorers with 25. Hale also contributed seven rebounds and six assists.

Breland Walton continue to be the leading scorers for the Senators, Rolle with 21 and Walton with 20 in the loss to the Tigers. D&E did not shoot the ball particularly well, only shooting 43.1% from the field and 36% from three. The Senators opponent shot 56.7% from the field and 59.3% from three on twenty-seven chances.
Davis & Elkins will tip off against Bluefield State at home on Saturday.
