EDINBORO, Pa. -- The Davis & Elkins women's basketball team lost a hard-fought game Wednesday night to Edinboro 77-72.
After being down 11 points at the half, the Senators fought back and limited the Fighting Scots to single digit points in the third quarter. This pulled D&E within one point heading into the final quarter of play. Ultimately, Edinboro was able to close out for the five-point win.
Davis & Elkins was led by
Dream Cherry's double-double, totaling 21 points and 10 rebounds, while shooting 50% on the night and going 4-5 at the free throw line.
Abbie Bartenslager and
Peyton Mohler had 14 points each in the loss.
Marissa Berlin led the team with 11 rebounds.
The Senators forced 20 turnovers and scored 13 points off those turnovers.
They will be back in action this Saturday at home when they face off against Fairmont State.
