2020 Stats
During the last four years, Kelsie has used every opportunity to turn into the leader and mentor within our program that she has become today. Kelsie is a resilient student-athlete that has taken all the right steps to be the best she could be. She never took shortcuts in softball, I think that was my favorite thing about coaching her.

  • Most Memorable Moment (Your Sport): Long bus rides to games and singing karaoke (99 bottles of water on the wall), Rhett trivia, and all the other amazing memories
  • Most Memorable Moment (Outside Your Sport): Going to the river with my team and the rope swing
  • Who would you consider a role model from your time at D&E?  Sydney Turner
She is the first one to dive on the Martin Gym floor and always the first to cross the finish line in conditioning. She went from the young #00 being mentored by upperclassmen, to taking those moments and pouring them into others as she became an upperclassman herself.

  • Message to future D&E student-athletes:  Take advantage of the time you have. You never know when it can be taken away from you. Spend time with your teammates who become family and make so many memories.
Kelsie taught me a lot about myself as a coach and as a softball player; I think that is the best type of student-athlete you can have. She will be missed at short stop and as our lead-off hitter – the place she has called home for the last four seasons. Whoever wears #00 next will have big shoes to fill. Best of luck Kels, we sure are thankful and grateful for your time within our program.
