Senators Open Season with 8-0 Victory over Mansfield

GLENVILLE, W. Va --

Jordan Worley went 2-for-4 with four RBIs, while Najay King's sixth inning grand slam provided all of the necessary offensive support for a dominant Senator pitching performance in an 8-0 victory over Mansfield on Friday to open up the 2020 season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Following his third inning double, Worley would hit a two-run home run in the fifth inning to give D&E a 4-0 lead.
  • King blasted a grand slam in the sixth inning to extend the lead to 8-0.
  • McMillion (1-0) struck out nine in seven innings of work, walking just one batter and allowing four hits in a dominant outing.
  • Feria came on in relief and hurled two hitless innings of work, recording five of his six outs by strikeout.

GAME NOTES
  • Worley recorded his first career hit, RBI, run, and home run in his debut performance for the Senators, finishing 2-4 with four RBIs.
  • Alex Castaneda notched the first two hits of his career in today's victory, while John Arcaro added his first career hit.
  • DeGrood worked his at-bats successfully, scoring two runs while reaching base three times via bases on balls.
  • The 14 batters punched out by D&E pitching is the most in a game since the Senators struck out 15 against Trevecca Nazarene on May 4, 2018.
