BRIDGEPORT, W. Va. – With a new season just around the corner, Davis & Elkins acrobatics & tumbling team was picked fourth in the Mountain East Conference (MEC) Preseason Poll, the league announced on Wednesday.
Fairmont State was picked first in the league, collecting four first-place votes. West Liberty narrowly followed in second, receiving the remaining two first-place votes. Glenville State comes in at third, just ahead of D&E, followed by West Virginia Wesleyan and Urbana.

D&E opens the season at home on February 8 against Urbana as part of its "Beauty and the Beast" event in conjunction with the wrestling team. The 2020 MEC Championship will be held April 10-11 on the campus of Fairmont State University.
